PAWTUCKET, R.I. -- Two masked men burst into a Family Dollar store Tuesday evening -- flashing a gun and stuffing a duffle bag full of cash, as one nearly lost his baggy pants, the police said.
The two men came into the store at 320 Dexter St. just before 6 p.m. Both wore black hooded sweatshirts, with masks over their faces and hot pink accessories.
One wore pink gloves as he held the duffle bag to be filled, the other a bright pink belt that failed to hold up his pants when he jumped the counter with the gun, said Detective Donti Rosciti.
The robbery frightened some customers, who ran, while others just watched.
The robbers fled, and no one was injured. Pawtucket police ask anyone with information about the robbery to call (401) 727-9100, Detective Rosciti at ext. 737 or Dave Silva at ext. 760.
