BANGOR, Maine (AP) -- Authorities say three Maine residents were the persons killed in a car-fire homicide case.
The bodies were discovered inside a 2001 white Pontiac sedan early Monday that was burning in the parking lot of a business in Bangor. The vehicle had Rhode Island license plates. It was destroyed by the flames, and the bodies were found inside severely burned.
Police declared the deaths a homicide on Wednesday. The Bangor Police Department on Friday identified the three as 26-year-old Daniel Thomas Borders of Hermon; 24-year-old Nicolle Ashley Lugdon of Eddington, and 28-year-old Lucas Alan Tuscano of Bradford.
The cause of death was withheld because the case is under investigation.
