WEST WARWICK, R.I. -- A local man is facing drunken-driving charges for the third time in five days -- and the fourth time in less than a year.

Robert F. Levesque, 54, of 12 Hopedale Drive, is now being held without bail as a violator.

West Greenwich police arrested Levesque on drunken-driving charges early Dec. 27 and -- 36 hours later -- in the afternoon of Dec. 28, said State Police Capt. Ernest C. Quarry Jr.

Early Monday, state police found Levesque intoxicated inside a car stopped in the middle of Pond Street, Quarry said.

Levesque was first arrested for DUI in the spring. He pleaded no contest, lost his license for three months, and was ordered to attend drunk-driving school. His license was suspended Nov. 21.
