PROVIDENCE, RI -- The first baby of 2013 was Isaac George, who entered the world weighing 7 lbs. 8 oz. at 12:24 a.m. at Women & Infants Hospital, according to the hospital.
Isaac not only rang in the new year, he was also a birthday present to his mom, Grace, who turned 18 today. Mother and son live in Providence.
About 70 percent of births in Rhode Island take place at Women & Infants.
