A bullet fired into a multifamily house hits a young woman in the hand. The woman, Linda Long, was inside 128-130 Bellevue Ave. when someone fired a gun at the house shortly before midnight, a police spokesman said. Long was treated at Rhode Island Hospital.
25 years ago today:
Sen. John H. Chafee on an official trip to Israel, tells Israeli Defense Minister Yitzhak Rabin that the use of deadly force and expulsion in dealing with the rioting by Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and occupied West Bank will only worsen the situation.
