PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- U.S. Rep. David Cicilline said in a weekend blog post that Washington leaders should act to prevent mass shootings such as the recent incident at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.
Writing on The Huffington Post, Cicilline said he has cosponsored bills that would require a background check for all firearms sales, require such checks for sales at gun shows, restrict sales of ammunition, ban high-capacity magazines for rifles, ban assault weapons and close a loophole under which gun dealers who lose their licenses can sell their inventory privately as a "personal collection."
Looks like @repcicilline filed 1 of gun control bills he mentiond in HuffPost over wknd: HR 93 dealing w/gun sellers ow.ly/gBW4C
