Sunday was a bad morning to drive; but the forecast calls an unusually mild afternoon for a football game.
The National Weather Service issued a dense fog advisory for this morning for most of southern New England. The weather service said driving was be "hazardous" until 9 a.m.
Sunday afternoon the fog will clear and in Foxboro, the Patriots and the Texans will play under near perfect conditions for January.
Our weather partners at WPRI forecast a calm afternoon with temperatures in the 50s and only a slight chance of rain.
Monday will also be mild, but the chance of rain will increase slightly to 30%, the weather service says.
