PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Gasoline prices in Rhode Island held steady this week, according to AAA Southern New England.
The average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline is $3.539 at self-service pumps in the Ocean State, the same as it was last Monday, according to AAA's weekly survey.
The average price is up 2 cents over the last month, AAA says.
Rhode Island drivers are paying 23 cents more than the national average of $3.309. They are paying 5 cents more per gallon than they were at this time last year.
AAA's survey found a 40-cent range in prices, from a low of $3.359 to a high of $3.759.
