PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- A Providence man has been arrested on charges of drunken driving after he was seen driving the wrong way on Route 95 early Friday.
The authorities said Danubio Suchite, 49, of 39 Harold St. was seeing driving south on Route 95 north in the area of the Thurbers Avenue exit around 3:55 a.m.
By the time officers caught up with him, the State Police said, Suchite had stopped his gold Toyota in the northbound high-speed lane near the Jefferson Boulevard exit.
Suchite's blood alcohol level was .225 percent on first reading and .235 percent on second reading, almost three times above the legal limit of .08 percent.
He was charged with drunken driving and reckless driving.
