WESTERLY, R.I. -- A 43-year-old Westerly man died Friday night after being involved in a motorcycle accident on Post Road in the area or Argyle Drive, according to police.
Police, who have not yet identified the victim, said that it appears that the motorcycle was traveling north on Post Road when it collided with a Dodge Durango shortly before 8:30 p.m.
The driver of the Durango was treated and released from Westerly Hospital, police said. She was not identified.
Police said that the road was closed for about three hours as member of the department's accident reconstruction division worked at the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
