The Rhode Island State Police arrested Raymond D. Marr, 32, of 713 Washington St., Coventry, Saturday morning after he walked away from home confinement while out on bail on two charges of first-degree child molestation.
The state police found Marr at the Classic Motor Lodge at 859 Victory Highway in West Greenwich, where, they said, he was placed under arrest after providing a false name to the troopers. The police said they seized marijuana and prescription narcotics from the motel room where they found Marr.
Marr was arrested for violating the terms of his bail on the child molestation charges pursuant to a Superior Court warrant. He had been placed on home confinement last Nov. 14 as a condition of his release on bail on the molestation charges.
