WOONSOCKET, R.I. -- Firefighters responded around 5 p.m. Friday to a fire at 198 Front St., which houses Wally's Market and five apartments above it.
Deputy Chief Paul A. Shatraw said Friday night that the fire started between the market's ceiling and the second floor and was confined to that area. The occupants of two apartments were displaced, Shatraw said, and the market will be closed at least through the weekend.
A fire that displaced residents of an 18-unit apartment building on Jan. 10 was just down the street, at 272 Front St.
