Cranston, R.I. -- Police are investigating a shooting Saturday afternoon in which a 19-year-old Providence man was wounded in the leg.
Police were called to Montgomery Avenue at about 2:20 p.m. for a report of multiple shots fired, according to the Cranston Police Department. When they arrived, the victim was on the sidewalk in front of 370 Montgomery Ave. after being shot in the leg.
The initial investigation found that the shots were fired from a red Nissan Maxima traveling
eastbound on Montgomery Avenue. The home at 370 Montgomery Ave. was also struck by bullets as was a vehicle parked on the street.
The suspect vehicle was located by Providence police, but no arrests have been made so far.
