CRANSTON, R.I. -- Rhode Island will receive a $3.3 million grant from the U.S. Department of Labor's Disability Employment Initiative.
The money, distributed through the state's Department of Labor and Training, will be used to improve education, training and employment opportunities for people with disabilities who are currently unemployed, underemployed or receiving Social Security Disability Benefits.
"This program represents our strong commitment to assisting people with disabilities in securing good jobs and providing career pathways," said Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis.
