PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Rhode Island Interfaith Power and Light will hold its sixth annual conference at the Roger Williams Park Casino from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 7, focusing on climate change.
Panelists from a wide range of faith communities and exhibitors on green technologies will explore the moral and financial benefits of becoming better stewards of the planet, according to organizers.
"What we do and say at the local level can have a profound effect at a national level," said the organization's board president, Rev. Anita Louise Schell-Lambert of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Newport. "The choice is before us."
Tickets for the event, which includes dinner, cost between $15 and $50 and can be purchased by calling 401-261-3426, or by visiting www.ri-ipl.org
