Chief Magistrate William R. Guglietta of the state Traffic Tribunal suspends indefinitely the driver's license of a teenager whose speeding car crashed against a tree last fall. The license denial is to stay in force until there is a further order by the court.

5 years ago today:
Electric Boat, which has had its share of tough times, is on the upswing again, looking to hire about 200 engineers and 200 designers.

25 years ago today:
Pawtucket's animal control officer finds a dead dog hanging in the abandoned Pawtucket/Central Falls train depot on Broad Street, and says other dogs still may be hanging in the building.
