WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) -- Four people -- including a child -- were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries following a head-on crash in Warwick.
The police say Jeanette Lawrence, 48, of Wariwck was drunk when her car swerved into oncoming traffic on Post Road and smashed into another car just before 11 p.m. Friday.
Both drivers, an adult passenger, and a girl in the car that was struck all suffered serious injuries. At last check, the girl involved in the crash was in critical condition at Hasbro Children's Hospital. Officials have not released the victims' names.
Lawrence is charged with DUI and refusing to submit to a chemical test. The police say she could face more charges.
