CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) -- Federal prosecutors say a New Jersey man has been sentenced to nearly 14 years in prison for three bank robberies he committed while in a supervised-release program for another bank robbery in Rhode Island.
Thirty-eight-year-old Richard Jones of Pennsauken will also have to serve three years of supervised release once freed.
Jones pleaded guilty last summer to the November 2011 robbery of a Sovereign Bank branch in Pennsauken. He also admitted to two other bank robberies that month.
Jones was sentenced Friday to 151 months for the robberies and two years for violating his supervised-release program, which he entered after the 2006 Rhode Island robbery. Twelve months of the latter term will be served consecutively to the term for the robberies.
