PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- A 23-year-old Barrington cancer survivor reached an undisclosed settlement with the company that administers the Law School Admission Test.
Carlin O'Donnell sued the Law School Admission Council last fall, arguing it violated the Americans with Disabilities Act by failing to accommodate his special needs in taking the LSAT.
O' Donnell argued the council violated the act by denying his request for a large-print test, 50 percent more time to take the test, and rest periods.
O' Donnell suffers from double vision and cognitive disabilities following two brain surgeries, radiation and aggressive chemotherapy since he was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2004, the lawsuit says.
Chief U.S. District Judge Mary Lisi Monday approved a joint-stipulation indicating a resolution had been reached. All parties refused to discuss the specifics.
