PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence students who brought you the mock NECAP plan to release the test results Tuesday afternoon in the State House rotunda.
About 35 adults took the New England Common Assessment Program or NECAP Saturday at the invitation of a student advocacy group called Providence Students Union. The adults were surprised at how difficult the math segment of the NECAP was, and some said it should not be linked to a high school diploma.
This year's juniors must take the NECAP in order to graduate, although they have more than one chance to take the test and they can also take an alternate exam.
