Three teens accused in beating, robbery in Waterplace Park

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Three teenage boys are accused of attacking and robbing a man in Waterplace Park late Wednesday afternoon.

One man had just started telling an officer about being chased by the three teens, who threw rocks at him, when patrons at Ruth's Chris Steak House pointed out another victim -- Brandon Davis, 29, who was injured, according to a police report.

Davis said the same teens punched and kicked him to the ground, then stole his Nexus Tablet. Davis was treated at the scene for head injuries.

Detective Robert Melaragno later found the three boys, walking by 104 Olney St., with Davis' tablet. The three were taken into custody.
