PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The 35th annual Good Friday walk to raise money to end hunger and homelessness will kick off from a dozen locations Friday at 9 a.m.
Depending on the location of the church, walks range from 4 to 10 miles, with most culminating at a rally at the State House at 11 a.m.
Marchers will begin their trek at 10 locations, including seven in Providence as well as churches in North Providence, East Providence and Cranston.
The 10-mile regional walk in Coventry, starting at Saints John & Paul Catholic Church, will have Stations of the Cross and rest stops along the way. Another regional walk is slated for Newport.
