SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- A woman was seriously injured when her car rolled over in the southbound lanes of Route 295 shortly after 9 p.m. Friday.
Lt. Douglas Newberg said the car was about a mile north of Route 44 when it crossed three lanes of travel and came to rest in the highway's median. The woman was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with injuries that Newberg said appeared to be non-life-threatening.
