WARWICK, R.I. -- Warwick police are sending two bomb experts to work with the Rhode Island Bomb Squad as it responds to requests for assistance from Massachusetts.
"I don't know what their mission is," Warwick Police Chief Col. Stephen McCartney said Friday morning, "but we have people with the training and we will provide the assistance."
Mayor Scott Avedisian said Warwick is ready to provide whatever assistance is necessary to help Watertown, Mass., as the manhunt for the remaining marathon bombing suspect continues.
"This is what we train people for ... and we are going to do what we can to help the police in Watertown, not only because it's the right thing to do but because we all have connections there," he said.
