DARTMOUTH, Mass. -- UMass-Dartmouth will reopen Sunday, now that law enforcement and university officials have determined that the campus is safe, according to a statement on the university's Web page.
Authorities shut the campus Friday morning after learning that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, the younger of two suspects wanted in the Boston Marathon bombings, was a sophomore there.
Police captured Tsarnaev in a Watertown backyard Friday night, where he was hiding inside a boat. His brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev -- the other bombing suspect -- was killed after a firefight with police early Friday in Watertown.
The campus website states that students may return to campus to access their cars or participate in athletics starting at 9 a.m. Residence halls will reopen at noon.
