The State Police said they charged a Portsmouth man with willful trespassing after one man videotaped another on top of a Mount Hope Bridge tower in February and put a video on the exploit on the web.
The State Police said they got a complaint from the Turnpike and Bridge Authority Feb 1. The video showed two man on top of the north tower, one filming the other and narrating the video as they walked along the tower.
The police said that troopers checked a variety of social web sites, identifying the producer and narrator as Christopher Aguiar 30, of Greenfield Avenue, Portsmouth. Arrested on Saturday, he was released on $500 surety bail and is scheduled to appear in Newport District Court on July 9.
The initial arrest was by Tiverton police. Signs on the bridge say the pedestrians are prohibited.
