PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Warren Town Beach and Oakland Beach in Warwick have been ruled too polluted for swimming, a news release by the Rhode Island Department of Health announced Tuesday.
Further water quality tests will determine when the two beaches will reopen to swimming.
During beach season, the R.I. Department of Health's beach monitoring program routinely tests water quality at all state beaches. For up-to-date information about beach use, call (401) 222-2751 or visit the department's website for its interactive beach map.
