The National Weather Service dropped its flood watch at 6 p.m. Friday, but that doesn't mean Saturday and Sunday are going to be beach days in Rhode Island.
The Weather Service says there will be a 50 percent chance of heavy rain Saturday. That forecast increases to 60 percent Saturday and Sunday. And the rains will continue next week.
Our weather partners at WPRI are a little more optimistic, forecasting some sun between the downpours and highs Saturday and Sunday in the low 80s.
The Fourth of July holiday on Thursday also looks wet. So, better make plans to hold those barbecues under cover and bring umbrellas to the parades.
