House sets aside $2 million to seek out waste, fraud in Rhode Island-run Medicaid programs

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The House voted 68 to 0 Friday to pass a bill that requires the state to use "predictive modeling and analytics technologies" to search for waste and fraud in state-run Medicaid programs.

House Finance Committee Chairman Helio Melo said $2 million has been set aside in the state budget to pay for the effort.
