RICHMOND, R.I. -- State police arrested a Massachusetts man Friday night on a charge of driving under the influence after stopping him on Route 95 in Richmond, the police said.
Gary Schoumaker, 47, of 64 Whitehall Way, Bellingham, Mass., was charged with first offense, driving under the influence. The police said his blood alcohol level was .15. The state limit is .08. The police said he was stopped at about 10:40 p.m.
Schoumaker was held in the lockup at the Hope Valley Barracks overnight.
