Providence man grazed by bullet in altercation with three others

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- A Silver Lake man was grazed by a bullet Saturday afternoon at 23 Whitehall St., the latest in a series of shootings in the city.

Tyrone Gibson, who lives in a third-floor apartment at that address, told the police that he had been shot in an altercation with three people that took place both inside and outside the apartment house, said Lt. Dean Isabella.

Gibson, who was taken to the hospital for a non-life-threatening injury, declined to cooperate with investigators, the police said.
