PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Here comes the heat.
The temperature inland should hit the upper 80s today and tomorrow, July 4th, before pushing 90 or higher Friday, Saturday and Sunday, according to our weather partners at WPRI.
Low clouds and fog this morning should give way to hazy sun and clouds this afternoon, but the humidity will stick around. The high temperature should reach 88 degrees inland, the upper 80s near the shore. There's a chance of an isolated shower or thunderstorm late this afternoon into the early evening, primarily northwest of Providence.
Thursday, July 4th, looks similar with highs in the upper 80s inland, near 80 at the shore.
