Hot, humid, thunderstorms possible later

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Expect high temperatures in the 80s today with high humidity and the possibility of thunderstorms, according to our weather partners at WPRI.

The high temperature should reach the upper 80s inland, the low 80s at the coast. The region could see some showers and thunderstorms, most likely in the afternoon and evening.

The forecast looks similar through Thursday, but the temperature and humidity is likely to drop Friday.
