ATTLEBORO, Mass. -- A Florida man who prosecutors say was with then-New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez on the night Hernandez allegedly murdered Odin L. Lloyd was ordered held without bail in Attleboro District Court on Monday afternoon.
Ernest Wallace, 41, of Miramar, had waived extradition in Florida to be brought to Massachusetts, where the Bristol County District Attorney's office has charged him with accessory after the fact of Lloyd's killing. Wallace had turned himself in at a Miramar police station.
His next court appearance is set for July 22.
Hernandez, charged with first-degree murder, is accused of orchestrating an execution-style shooting of Lloyd, 27, near Hernandez's North Attleboro house on June 17. The prosecution alleges that Lloyd, who played semipro football in Boston, talked with the wrong people at a nightclub.
Lloyd, 27, was shot five times in an industrial pit a half-mile or so from the home where Hernandez lived with his fiancée and their eight-month old daughter, according to prosecutors.
