PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- A flash flood watch has been issued for northwestern Rhode Island because scattered thunderstorms could bring 1 to 3 inches of rain in less than an hour, causing flooding on streets and small streams, according to our weather partners at WPRI.
Expect low clouds and fog this morning, then partly sunny skies later this morning into the afternoon. Any thunderstorms are likely to be scattered and brief, so the day won't be a washout, WPRI says. The high temperature should reach 80 to 85 degrees inland, the upper 70s at the shore.
