PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- After meeting in executive session Monday night for more than three hours to discuss possible legal action concerning the failure of 38 Studios, board members of the Economic Development Corporation emerged with a chorus of "No comments."
They voted to seal the minutes and to make any other votes taken in executive session confidential. Beyond that, members adhered to a code of silence.
"It was a very productive working session. There's nothing to report," said Governor Chafee, who chairs the EDC board.
"No comment," said Max Wistow of Wistow & Barylick, Inc, who is leading the legal team to determine if the state has grounds for legal action after being left on the hook for up to $102 million.
