Rehoboth police issue an automated alert advising residents to stay inside and lock their doors and windows while authorities search for three men wearing black hoods and dark jeans.

5 years ago today:
Author Robert Spencer tells a Brown University audience that Islam, rather than a religion of peace, is the source of writings and traditions that ardent followers use to justify terrorism. Spencer said the writings in the Koran are used to mistreat women, and persecute and kill religious minorities and homosexuals.

25 years ago today:
A jury finds Blue Cross-Blue Shield guilty of violating federal antitrust laws by using monopoly powers to eliminate competition.
