PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Governor Chafee and a slew of elected, business and non-profit leaders gathered at the Providence Performing Arts Center Wednesday as the Rhode Island Foundation introduced its campaign to boost Rhode Island's self-esteem.
Called "It's All in Our Backyard" the $170,000 effort focuses on good things that are happening within Rhode Island's economy. The campaign will include billboards, posters, radio and TV ads and a website at www.ourbackyardri.com..
Steinberg said the intent of the campaign is to use individual success stories to focus attention of Rhode Islands assets.
"The purpose is to change the conversation, not just to make us feel better," he said.
