COVENTRY, R.I. -- Two Providence men have been arrested on charges of breaking into a pharmacy in Coventry.
Somsack Sithong, 30, of 25 Lavaughn St., and Darryl Henries, 42, of 270 Vermont Ave., were held overnight on charges of breaking and entering and conspiracy.
The authorities say the two were seen smashing a window at the CVS pharmacy at 2250 New London Turnpike at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday and fleeing in a grey Cadillac toward Route 95.
Coventry police tried to stop the two on Route 95. With help from Warwick and Providence police, they then chased the two into Providence. They were stopped in the area of Narragansett Boulevard and Vermont Street.
The police said they recovered packs of cigarettes that had been stolen from the pharmacy.
