PAWTUCKET, R.I. -- Firefighters responded to a burning detached garage at the residence at 33 Grand Ave. around mid-day Sunday.
The call came in about 12:14 p.m. The fire was brought under control in about 10 minutes but the garage was destroyed, according to Battalion Chief Joseph Murray.
No one was home in the adjacent residence at the time.
A firefighter susptained a burn to his hand but it was not believed to be a major injury.
The cause of the fire was not known and was under investigation.
