PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- A dense fog advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. for coastal areas, according to our weather partners at WPRI. The fog will limit visibility and make driving difficult in some areas.
After the fog lifts, expect mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers and thunderstorms arriving by late morning, WPRI says.
Steadier rain is expected by the middle of the afternoon. Isolated thunderstorms are possible, and they could bring gusty winds and heavy downpours, causing street flooding and flooding in areas with poor drainage, WPRI says.
Today's high temperature should reach the low to mid 70s.
The storms should taper off tonight, and tomorrow looks mostly sunny and less humid with highs in the mid to upper 70s.
