The tail section of an airplane, likely pulled to the surface by a fisherman's net, and possibly from the plane searched for from Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts since Aug. 3, is spotted in Narragansett Bay about 1 1/2 miles north of the Jamestown Bridge. However, the wreckage sank again before Coast Guard and state boating safety officers could secure it with a line.
