PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Despite losing a bid for state historic tax credits on Tuesday, Manchester, N.H.-based developer Brady Sullivan Properties will proceed with plans to develop the former American Tourister factory in Warren.
Company principal Shane Brady said the company plans to build 225 apartments and 85,000 square feet of commercial/retail space at the riverfront site on Warren's Main Street.
Brady said that although his company won credits for its American Wire project in Pawtucket in Tuesday's state lottery drawing for $34.5 million in state historic tax credits, its Tourister project was not as lucky, coming in last place. But the Warren project could still obtain credits if others projects are disqualified, he said.
