CRANSTON, R.I. - It's no secret: Mayor Allan Fung is a fan.
On Saturday, Fung and other dignitaries will honor Olivia Culpo, the 2012 Miss Universe, for her accomplishments as a beauty queen.
Officials will also rename part of Albert Avenue after Culpo. The reception starts at noon at City Hall.
The new "Olivia Culpo Way" will "serve as a permanent testimonial to everyone that a wonderful young woman from our city let the universe know that good things do indeed come from Cranston!" Fung said.
Culpo is the first Rhode Islander to win both the Miss USA and Miss Universe crowns.
