PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Secretary of State Ralph Mollis has announced that registered voters who don't have a current or valid photo ID will be able to get a free voter ID at the Labor and Ethnic Heritage Festival from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Pawtucket's Slater Mill.
Other venues have also been established for the voter IDs, according to Mollis, are Roger Williams National Park, off North Main Street in Providence, at a time to be announced on Sept .21; the Richmond Community Center in the Wyoming section of Richmond from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sept. 25; and the Woonsocket Senior Center, from 10 a.m. to noon on Oct. 7.
Cards can also be obtained at any other voter ID drive, or at the Secretary of State's Elections Division office at 148 West River St., Providence.
