CRANSTON, R.I. -- Two of the three missing Olivia Culpo Way signs that were stolen Saturday night or Sunday morning were recovered Tuesday morning after a R.I. Department of Transportation mowing crew discovered them in grass along Route 295 north near Exit 6.
The signs, were dedicated for the Miss Universe from Cranston in a ceremony Saturday.
The city renamed a section of Albert Avenue, where Culpo grew up, in the beauty queen's honor, although residents will keep the Albert Avenue address and public safety officials will continue to refer to it as Albert Ave.
The recovered signs are being held as evidence.
Cranston police officers searched near where the signs were found but were unable to locate the third stolen sign.
