PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - An organization in Rhode Island that serves victims of domestic violence has received a $300,000 federal grant.
The money will help Sojourner House provide transitional housing for victims of domestic violence or stalking who need a safe place to stay.
The state's congressional delegation announced the grant from the U.S. Department of Justice on Monday.
The nonprofit Sojourner House was founded by Brown University students in 1976. Since then the organization has served 50,000 people
