PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The ninth anual Business Innovation Factory conference opened this morning with the organization's founder, Saul Kaplan, cautioning the audience at Trinity
Repertory in Providence that the challenges facing modern society will take more than small changes to address.
"In the 21st century, we're not going to fix the problems with tweaks," said Saul Kaplan.
Kaplan is speaking this morning to about 400 people who've come from around the country to discuss "innovation" and how the concept must be at the center of efforts to address issues facing education, health care and other industries and social systems.
Big changes take communal efforts, he noted
"We know that innovation is a team sport," Kaplan said.
