PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- A service for former Secretary of State Susan Farmer, who died Monday, will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Grace Church, Westminster Street.
Farmer, a Providence resident, served as secretary of state from 1983 until 1987. She was president of WSBE Rhode Island PBS from 1987 until 2005.
Farmer was the wife of Malcolm Farmer III. She also leaves two daughters, Heidi Farmer Piccerelli of Barrington and Stephanie Lawson Farmer of Kentfield, CA,
