WOONSOCKET, R.I. -- Two firefighters were hurt Sunday fighting a blaze that broke out around noon in the top floor of a three-story, wood-frame, apartment house in Woonsocket, according to the city's emergency dispatcher.
Dispatcher Brandon Pinette told The Providence Journal Sunday afternoon that all of the occupants managed to escape uninjured from the house at 641 S. Main St. in the city.
But two Woonsocket firefighters apparently were injured during the incident.
According to a spokesman for Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, the two firefighters were treated for minor injuries and were expected to be discharged by the end of the day.
